Hello, We are Satellite+82.

Satellite+82 is a collective formed to listen to various stories from the world and deliver them in visual languages. As our first project, we would like to publish a book that tells the story of queers in Korean suburbs.

As of 2022, talks about queers are continue. In 2015, 6699press published 『SIX』, where six gay people and their six friends who know their gender identities told their own stories. In 2016, 『DUIRO』, a magazine that exploring and recording LGBT culture, was founded. In 2020, at the 《Project Hashtag》 exhibition hosted by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul Queer Collective presented a story about queer discourse centered on Jongno 3-ga in the form of an installation and book. These days, Research about queer is being conducted in many ways, and discourses on topics derived from them continue in various fields of art. Satellite +82 came to want to focus on the various views that are taking place in the provinces during the queer-related small group research.

Satellites+82 wants to capture the stories of queers inside and outside of Seoul through the interview book. Please tell your story. Something you want to share, something you couldn't share, anything is fine. Seoul, outside of Seoul, anywhere is fine. We are ready to go anywhere to meet you.
